Squoval Press-On Nails

A squoval is a square nail with the corners softened — the flat tip of a square with the rounded edges of an oval. It is the most practical shape in the range and the most forgiving to wear.

Squoval suits nearly every nail bed and is the shape to start with if you have never worn press-ons. There are no corners to catch and no point to snap, which is why it survives a keyboard and a steering wheel better than anything else here.

Because there is no corner, a squoval rarely needs filing after application. If it sits slightly wide, file the sides only, in one direction.
